Why so serious about Jesus?

The Beauty and Urgency of the Gospel

All the time I get asked about my seriousness regarding Jesus, I laugh. The truth is, I was never this serious. “Shyness” used to be an easy excuse I give just to escape critics & insults about my FAITH. Evangelism never looked interesting to me at first…until I found answers.
Here’s the thing: There’s a reason why what we preach is called ‘The GOSPEL.” Let’s liken it to a sweet GIST you can’t keep quiet about when you see a best friend; The Gospel is GOOD NEWS!
A good question to ask is, What really is the NEWS we call GOOD? This is the Gospel:
“God has fulfilled His plan to accept His son, JESUS, as a sacrifice for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD. Not just that; HE has ever since bestowed RIGHTEOUSNESS on to everyone who believes.” -@Pst_Iren
Now that’s good news!
God’s standard of righteousness was beyond human reach. No one could meet up. What then did He do? Because GOD LOVES US, He made Jesus, who had never sinned, to be sin for us so that we would be made the righteousness of God in Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21. Jesus hit the mark of righteousness for us by dying in our place (John 3:16, Gal 4:4-5).
Anyone, ANYONE AT ALL, who believes in Jesus becomes Righteous by Faith. You attain that Righteous mark with ease, without your effort Rom 8;1, 2 Cor 5:21
My assignment here is Simple:
Believers, You have a message the world needs to hear. Jesus calls it “God’s power to save” Rom 1:16. The world is perishing; Their faiths can only come alive when they HEAR God’s salvation through Christ. The HolyGhost does the conviction, your assignment is to announce the message.
Only One Name has the power to save; JESUS (Acts 4:12)
The whole world has to know salvation is beyond doing good (morality); SALVATION is by Faith in Christ and all He did for us. Good works are best described as fruits of our regenerated spirit rather than a pass mark for Heaven.
Your excellence & character could be a vehicle to draw people for a start; true (Matt 5:16, 1 Pet 2:12). But You also need to take advantage of every opportunity you get to SPEAK about Jesus! There’s something about them HEARING it: No one turns on TV news & gets the real gist when all the Newscaster does is demonstrate with hands & fingers (except you’re trained that way of course).
If really the news is good, you shouldn’t keep quiet. Be excited to tell it; Exactly what the Samaritan woman did at first encounter. These Unbelievers are lost, blind, and in darkness. Jesus described you as “The Light! The SALT of the Earth!”
“You are here to bring out God’s Light in the world.
God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’ve put you there on a hilltop; shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt them to open up with our generous Father.” Matt 5:14‭-‬16 MSG
Your drive for evangelism should be fervent and have a worthy course. Because God is Spirit, for Him to relate with this world, He needs your earthly suit; The Father needs You. We are extensions of His hands on earth.
Here is the worthy course for evangelism:
God’s desire is that all men, not some; ALL MEN are saved. Your every conversation should stir the hearts of many and awaken fresh hunger for God in them, Luke 24:32.
I respect Paul a lot. Clear prophecies were revealed about him being arrested if he dared preach in a particular town, Acts 21:1-16; The guy wasn’t moved! Their threats couldn’t stop him.
He rather answered: “Why are you crying and breaking my heart? I am not only willing to be put in jail for the Lord Jesus, I am willing to die for Him in that town!” Acts 21:13 CEV
“Now that’s the irony of purpose;
When you discover it, you won’t even mind dying.” @Pst_Iren. Paul knew He would suffer a lot for Jesus’ name. He knew tribulations would come. That prophecy in the book of Acts was so authentic, yet he was brutal about His assignment.
By carrying the burden for the Gospel in your heart, you’ll notice your desires, thoughts, and motives channeled towards soul winning, towards spreading Jesus. Your prayers would go beyond, “Father, bless me,” to “Father, this life is yours; use it for your glory.”
Evangelism in simple words: Equipping the Saints and continuing the work of reconciliation Jesus started.
The liberty we’ve received in Christ is a treasure.
It helps us individually and that’s beautiful! But don’t get all comfortable with just that, seeing those around you ignorant of Christ and this liberty in Him.
That you have the answer to rescue them from the claws of death should excite you like fire burning in your bones, something you can’t keep quiet about. The answer they need to hear is CHRIST!
Friends, your entire life’s purpose centers on Evangelism, on making the name of Jesus famous! You need to let others know and enjoy what you have found in Christ; it’s available to everyone. Cease to live for yourself.
Equipping the saints for the work of ministry
Your meat, as a Believer, is to do the will of the father. Evangelism should be what gives satisfaction to your belly. Jesus wants to reign through you. Our world needs to see Him thru us
God is mighty to save.
Your sacrifices, seeds, and efforts are what He uses to draw all men to himself.
Throw yourself into the enterprise of the gospel, into a daily-desire for soul winning. Evangelism is an end-time powerhouse. Believers also need to be taught on how their new nature operates.
The body of Christ is not made up of just our Pastors; We are all involved. The effectual working and contribution of every part is what makes the body increase and get stronger. Every joint has sufficient resources needed to supply quality nutrients to the body.
2 Cor 5:15-21; explains the full gist about Christianity: First, to be blessed & learn. Then, to teach & disciple others. That’s the beauty of Evangelism. In Christ was the provision of salvation. He reconciled us to God; We announce it!
Evangelism is an instruction:
God has committed to me, to you, the message and the ministry of reconciliation; “If I be lifted high,” Jesus said, “I’d draw all men to me.” In simple words, Lift the Name of JESUS high. You are HIS Ambassador. This is the urgency of the Gospel; run with it!
I really look forward to hearing beautiful evangelism tips and feedbacks from you; I believe this stirred you up. As always, I pray fresh zeal and passion for the lost over everyone in Jesus name.
Excess love from your friend in the Faith,
